Which political ideology do you most identify with?
How do you define 'family' and has that definition evolved over time for you?
It doesn't have to be blood relation. In US, people move far apart from each other, and tend to be more disjointed. Or, dysfunctional. Or any number of things. Friends can be family. I am a surrogate for two families, and so two families have blood related kids and they are all family to us. I think it's important to take care of our family, to the best of our ability. If we need help, I think the government sometimes might have to help, not ideal, though.
The government is disorganized and doesn't have the bandwidth to help in ways that are beneficial. Or, people get stuck in a system that is hard to get out of.
