Should the Catholic Church still have a say in political matters, like laws about marriage and education?
People have the right to choose their own religion. Also, to choose to abide, or not, by the rules of Catholicism, or whatever religion. Religions should not have any say in the political arena, though. The United States is a country of religious freedoms, which also means freedom of no religion. Having the slanted political input of any religion does not represent the population.

Religions form their congregants consciences. Churches should be allowed to teach and preach within their sphere but should not be able to financially or materially support one candidate over another.
