Should police departments be allowed to use military grade equipment?
No, extreme situations should be handled by higher agencies with specialized training and equipment
The police have sufficient training to use military grade equipment to neutralise a situation. The main priority is to protect the public, not to rely on a small and unreliable number of people to protect a large amount of people, which is what this aims to do, all in the defence of “higher agencies”, I would far rather a situation be dealt with quickly and normally as opposed to slowly and proficiently.
