There were various factors like economic, political, and military issues that contributed to their decline. Additionally, numerous societies throughout history have accepted same-sex relationships without experiencing collapse. For instance, some Native American tribes recognized Two-Spirit individuals who could form same-sex partnerships. This demonstrates that acceptance of same-sex relationships doesn't necessarily lead to the decline of a society.

For using American Indians as an example you forget that their civilization was destroyed and couldn't compete with European civilizations dn was destroyed so I'd say no their civilization was not exceptional nor superior in any way. Also it wasn't because of "systemic oppression" that Indians were dispersed, it happened because they struck first? Have you heard of the Wyoming and Cherry Valley Massacres? Many scientific and medical institutions, such as the World Health Organization, recognize that gender is not solely determined by physical characteristics.
